Chinese Astrology

You may be a follower of Western Astrology or Vedic Astrology or Chinese Astrology. There’s one thing in common in these 3 major schools of Astrology, i.e., each of them have 12 solar mansions also known as the Zodiac signs or Rasis.

Each birth year gets assigned to one of the signs shown above. The Chinese signs are not based on the calendar year i.e., Jan 1st to Dec 31st that we are familiar with. Instead, they are based on the Chinese New Year (CNY). The CNY falls on the first new Moon day in a calendar year. This will typically be in January or February each year.
